Happy New Year!

I know it's the end of January, but I'm back, and Happy New Year, everyone! I don't know about you all, but I did not make any new year's resolutions per se because I always end up with a laundry list of things I never complete. So instead, I have identified specific things I will focus on and change this year. For starters,

  • I must take better care of myself #selflove

  • I absolutely must focus more on my writing and creativity; and

  • I will walk in Faith and not Fear! #prayer

Reality is setting in that I can retire as early as five years, and I want to ensure that I am ready for the next chapter in my life. Many of you know that I am an older mom, as I had my twins when I was almost 40, and at age 54, my twins will be going to high school this year. I have undoubtedly accomplished a lot in the last few years, but I still look at myself in the mirror and say, "you have a long way to go; you are not done yet!"


I have plans to straighten out some areas of my life while trying to maintain Marriage, Motherhood & Menopause. Lately, my hot flashes have improved, but within the last six months, there have been ongoing and new challenges in the other two areas. There are different stages in marriage, and with each one, we have to figure out what works and what needs improvement. The same rule applies to raising children, as they grow through their stages, you realize what worked for them when they were in elementary school does not apply in middle school. So, you just have to level up and make it work!


As always, I am open to receiving advice and input from other women who can work through the challenges of raising a family, running a household, and maintaining a loving and lasting marriage. If you have any tips on how you have been or any new ways you have been handling Marriage, Motherhood & Menopause, please share them below. I would love your input.
