Grateful - Thankful - Blessed!

As the traditional holiday season ends, I want to remind everyone that we must remain safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. More importantly, I believe that if you woke up this morning, have food in your refrigerator and cupboards, clothes and shoes to put on you ought to be grateful and thankful too.

The image included with this post covers significant events that I shared with my family from October through December 2021. For example, the wonderful fall day my daughter and I spent at the Sunflowers of Lisbon; and then the fun birthday week when I bought myself a car and celebrated brunch with my Aunt Lois and her daughter Alise. Sundays are our fun days where we watch our Baltimore RAVENS - we all have matching #8 jerseys for quarterback Lamar Jackson. The twins were #twinning in their matching sweats and hubby and I were all dressed in black for another friends birthday party. My husband threw down in the kitchen for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I absolutely loved my faux Christmas tree that I ordered from Pier 1.

As I listen to the news each day over the past two weeks, and the COVID-

19 numbers rise and the positivity rate in our state is over 25%, I am blessed that my family and I are safe. I am also glad that we made the decision to vaccinate our family against the deadly virus. In spite of the negative rhetoric that is being spread about the vaccine, I would rather be safe than sorry.

I plan to consistently write at least once a week this year, as well as complete my writing projects. My family and I have been blessed this past year, and I look forward to what lies ahead for us in 2022.

What was or were some of your fondest memories from 2021?

What are you looking forward to most in 2022?
